Tall palm trees in a Florida front yard at dusk with trunks wrapped in warm white lights

Palms are the signature of a Florida holiday display. Wrapped trunks look good from the street and they carry the lights up above the roofline.

How we wrap

We spiral the lights up the trunk, and for a fuller look we keep going up into the base of the fronds. The wrap is loose, so it does not pinch the tree or the bark, and it comes off cleanly in January.

Why takedown matters

Lights left on a palm for months can get grown over by the trunk and they cut into the bark. Taking them down every season prevents that, and it is part of why we recommend adding takedown.

Trees and shrubs

Oaks, crape myrtles and other trees can be wrapped on the trunk and lower limbs. We use net lights on shrubs and hedges. Mention what you have in the details.

Plug-in only

All lights are plug-in and low-voltage. We do not do any electrical wiring or put in new outlets.

Price

Palm wrapping typically starts around $40 per palm for a short trunk and goes up with height and how far up the wrap goes. You get an exact written price before we book.

Questions

Will the lights hurt my palm trees?

Not when they are wrapped loosely and taken down every season. We do not use staples or nails on trees.

How tall a palm can you do?

Short and medium palms are routine. Very tall palms need more crew and equipment, so send a photo and we will say what is possible.
